Gary Barlow made a fan’s dreams come true by surprising her with a performance at her 40th birthday.
The Take That front man dropped by superfan Jo Chapman’s milestone party on Saturday night and sang a rendition of Greatest Day.
As well as tweeting him – sometimes up to 40 times a day – the campaign included putting posters up in her car, on lampposts and in friends’ windows.
But, despite her pleas, she was still shocked when he actually turned up.
As soon as he walked into the party, held in Maidstone, Kent, screams could be heard from surprised guests, with Mrs Chapman walking towards him, giving him a hug.
She said: “When he walked through the door I just thought ‘oh my God.’ I couldn’t believe it. I just screamed like a lunatic and ran over to him.
“It was just unbelievable. I’m still in shock but I’m on top of the world.”

Mrs Chapman, a self-employed housekeeper, said she tried to push the thought of him turning up out of her mind, adding: “I knew Gary was local this weekend because he was singing at the Queen ’s birthday. So I thought he could pop by. But I tried not to think about, but I did have a small feeling it might go my way.
“The DJ played my favourite Take That song Everything Changes and when that finished I thought ‘well that’s it now.’
“Then Greatest Day started and I saw him. It’s still sinking in that I met him.
“Some people that saw it online thought it was a wind up and that it was an impersonator, so I had to show them a tweet Gary had sent me afterwards to prove it.”
The surprise was made possible when Barlow’s team contacted one of Mrs Chapman’s friends, Suzi Cooper, to make arrangements three weeks ago, but the friend kept it all under wraps.
Mrs Chapman, from Boughton Monchelsea, near Maidstone, has been a huge fan of Gary after seeing a Take That gig at Wembley Arena in 1994.

She said: “He is just such a lovely guy. What other guy would do that for one of his fans?
“After he sang, he grabbed my hand and we went outside and got photos. But he had to leave after that.
“It was the best birthday ever and I’ll never top it.”
After her party, an over the moon Mrs Chapman posted on Twitter: “I haven’t even begun to process this yet! Words can’t express how i feel! I love you,” next to a picture of Barlow.
Her daughter Phoebe also tweeted the star saying: “Thank you so much for coming to my mums party, it was flipping amazing and I’ll never forget it.”
Barlow then joined in by tweeting: “First mile stone birthday has happened! Happy bday lovely Jo! Xx”
He also re-tweeted tweets from friends, and a video from the night.
Last year Gary hit the headlines for turning up unannounced to sing at people’s weddings. But this year he told his 4.2m Twitter followers 2016 would be a year for surprising fans on their birthdays instead.
