TV fans have had the chance to vote for all their favourite shows and characters in the 2016 British Soap Awards .
The public have been voting for their favourite show and characters, and still can up until the Award ceremony takes place at 8.15pm on Saturday May 28.
The ceremony, hosted by Phillip Scholfield, is one of the biggest nights in the showbiz calendar with all the stars from the top five soaps in attendance.
Viewers will get a front row seat of all the action when the show is aired on ITV.
1. Who is nominated?
Will Alison King be crowned Best Actress at this year’s awards?
The official shortlist has been revealed and Corrie’s Alison King leads the way as a front runner for the Best actress nod.
Here’s a run down of the stars up for some of the biggest gongs of the night, but you can check the full list of nominees here .

2. How do I vote?
Now the shortlist nominees have been announced viewers can cast votes for their favourite soap stars. To vote you must head to the official British Soap Awards website . Voting closes on Friday 27 May 2016 at 5pm.
TV fans will be able to vote in three categories – Best Actor, Best Actress and Best British Soap
However the Best Actor and Best Actress awards will also be partly voted for a judging panel.

4. Who won last year?
EastEnders’ Kellie Bright score the Best Actress gong last year
Last year the awards show made a shock move and scrapped the Sexiest Male and Sexiest Female gongs.
In its place was an award for the portrayal of a storyline that involves a wider issue.
Last year Eastenders scooped the top prize of the night, walking away with the ‘Best Soap’ Award, along with another seven wins, including the best single episode nod for their live episode to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Eastenders were victorious in 2015, but will they be as lucky this year?
Other big wins on the night included Best Actor award going to Adam Woodyatt who plays Ian Beale in Eastenders and his co-star Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter scooping Best Actress.
Hollyoaks’ Jeremy Sheffield (Patrick Blake), who has since exited the show, walked away with the Villian of the Year gong.
